SAMPLE DEPARTMENT TEAM MEMBER

Description:

Sample Department Team Members are high-energy, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individuals. With safety, teamwork, and communication as the foundation of this position, associates are responsible for producing marketing materials, building sales tools, and shipping samples that support Mosaic's overall mission.

Team Members are responsible for the quality and accuracy of their assignments which involve both semi-skilled manual tasks as well as the use of machine tools such as wet-saws, chop-saws, and other related equipment.

Scope of Position

· Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality guidelines are followed at all times.

· Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.

· Produce finished goods while carrying out basic quality control checks.

· Complete production assignments with hand tools and or power tools.

· Complete tasks at a rate of production determined by management.

· Package goods to be shipped via wrap and pack station or pallet loading.

· Accurate picking and placement of materials.

· Cleaning/upkeep/maintenance of machinery, workstations, and production area.

· Other tasks as directed by building supervision.

Hours

8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday – Friday. Days and hours may vary by schedule.

Requirements:

· Position requires occasional lifting of materials exceeding 50 lbs.

· Working knowledge of basic arithmetic for measuring and cutting.

· Working knowledge of the use of hand tools, including delicate measuring instruments.

· Understanding basic machinery button commands that concern normal use.

· Usage of pallet jacks and forklift trucks.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

· Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

· Is frequently exposed to hot, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions.

· Is regularly exposed to the operation of equipment, which causes loud noise levels.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and lifting all day. The employee will occasionally lift items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Employees must be comfortable around water, with the possibility of getting wet, such as during wet-saw operation. Specific vision abilities required by this job are color vision, depth perception, and the ability to see close and long distances clearly.
