Our client is looking for a IT Software Development Advisor Sr on a 11-month contract in City, State.

Required Skills & Experience
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • 9 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include 5 years of program development experience with 3 years specialized programming relative to program needs.
  • Knowledge of applications systems analysis and programming.
  • Knowledge of claims management systems.
  • High level of self-motivation Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products Leadership skills.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Information Systems or Computer Science major.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead a team in the design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software.
  • Formulate/define system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Responsible for quality assurance reviews.
  • Responsible for project completion and user satisfaction and to provide guidance and training to assigned team.
  • Determine the impact of new programs on and ensures their compatibility with existing system operations.
  • Oversee development of system specifications through interaction with business users and sponsors.
  • Determine the feasibility of the resulting projects; and displays strong depth of knowledge in specific business subject areas.
  • Assist in projecting software and hardware requirements.
  • Oversee design, development, maintenance, testing and debugging of software ensuring Sedgwick software development lifecycle (SDLC) guidelines are followed.
  • Formulate/define project scope and objectives. Leads the development, modification, and maintenance of software to meet company needs and user suggestions.
  • Prepare program documentation including administrator and end user help documents. Direct other analyst/programmers.
  • Assign, prioritize and monitor workload.
  • Provide guidance and training to team.
  • Prepare status reports to department manager.
  • Ensure successful completion of projects in conformance to project goals and requirements.
  • Ensure proactive and cooperative relationships exist within the project team; remains accessible to project team members.
  • Keep up to date with technology changes and direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support the organization's quality program(s).
  • Administer company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interview, hire and establish colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
  • Provide support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
