POSITION SUMMARY: The Mental Health Technician (MHT)is responsible for assessing client needs and monitoring behavior while at the program. Under the supervision of the Director, the Mental Health Technician is responsible for documenting activities of daily living, caring for clients, helping to coordinate treatment and executing daily programing. Mental Health Technicians also may assist clinical and medical staff with crisis management, groups, and education, as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completion of all Mental Health Technician duties and/or documentation within Mountain Springs Recovery and state mandated timelines.
Conduct client rounds according to state protocols and document appropriately.
Complete new admission intake procedures according to Mountain Springs Recovery policies on all new admissions (belongings searches, and paperwork).
Administering completion of vital signs and rounds on all clients.
Crisis intervention
Assist, teach and/or supervise clients with general household chores, cleanliness and food preparation; Clean up as required.
Assist Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse and Clinical team in the provision of services to clients.
Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings and community meetings, as assigned.
Recognize individuals in crisis and document when needed in communication log and/or an Incident Report.
Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES: The following requirements and preferences will be evaluated and verified to establish employment eligibility.
Bachelor's degree in a human services related field OR actively pursuing a degree in an accredited program preferred
Minimum 18 years old
Valid Driver’s License.
High School diploma or GED
1 year experience in Healthcare or Customer Service-related field preferred
Current TB Test within the last 6 months
Current CPR & First Aid Certification
Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen

Salary - $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Bonus Opportunity: In addition to the base pay regular earnings, you will have the opportunity to earn additional compensation in the form of a quarterly bonus based on overall achievement of key business performance measures. Your eligibility will be subject to the terms of the Company Quarterly Bonus Plan.
