As the Epic Cogito Analyst Senior, you will:

  • Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for BI solutions.
  • Critically evaluate information from various sources; distinguish user needs from actual business needs and partner with business users, project managers, developers, and IT teams in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of actual and proposed projects as well as assist in managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Clinical Services BI and Analytics manager to participate in grooming the backlog of requests for BI Developers to work on by contacting the customer to understand the requirements; direct the customers to an existing reporting solution where applicable
  • Create documentation to support design, application build, current and future state workflows, functional and non-functional specs, process flows, meeting minutes, gap analysis, operational users guide, and testing.
  • Work with BI developers, analysts, and customers (clinical/operational leaders, quality leadership etc.) to design, create, modify, and publish data models, reporting workbench reports within OCHIN Epic.
  • Provide expert guidance, training, and support to end-users on Epic Cogito reporting tools, foster a data-driven culture and promote self-service analytics and super user program.
  • Lead and manage BI projects, ensuring successful implementation and utilization of various analytics tools and platforms.
  • Establish and maintain BI development processes, ensuring data quality, governance, and adherence to best practices.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

  • 1-3 years of experience with Agile Development methodology.
  • 1-3 years of experience with business requirement gathering, documenting processes using visio or other visual tools.
  • Superior customer service skills and a strong affinity for process improvements.
  • 1-3 years experience with Epic Cogito reporting tool set.

Preferred Qualifications/ Transferable Skills*: You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/ transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates.   • Strong business understanding of a Healthcare setting, specifically with Epic.
  • Demonstrated, progressive experience in healthcare (Claims, Epic, Rx, etc.)
  • Experience or familiarity with Azure DevOps or Subversion.
  • Experience with Epic(Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity).
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to work across multiple projects, teams, and program areas.
  • Cross functional collaboration with IT resources on upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.

Inclement Weather and Disasters - Serving the Public, Even During Disasters:

Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities.
