Patient Details:
• 4yo boy
• Intestinal Malabsorption
• G tube meds/feeding
• CVL with TPN and fluids
• Deaf with Cochlear Implant
• Uses ASL
• Patient Narrative: Patient is a 4yo boy who is looking for a nurse to care for him overnight on Wednesdays. He is an active and happy 4yo. During the day, he loves playing with his toys, interacting with his family and friends and being silly. He typically does sleep through the night, but needs assistance with a continuous Gtube feed and TPN/Fluids via CVL overnight as well as diaper changes and Gtube medications. The family has a cat. If you are interested in working more than just one night a week, while this patient only has one night available, Northeast Arc-Clinical Services has other patients in the area looking for nursing as well!
* Northeast Arc-Clinical Services is a home care agency out of Danvers that specializes in Continuous Care Nursing for medically complex children and adults. This means it is more than a VNA; we provide block nursing in shifts anywhere from 2-16 hours at a time. We work 1-on-1 with a patient in their home, school, or community setting. We help families navigate the complexities of their loved one’s medical care, ensuring patients stay at home and out of the hospital. Our primary goal is to assist in allowing parents/children/spouses to maintain THAT role instead of being their Loved one’s primary “nurse”.
* We are always looking for more nurses to join our team-RNs, LPNs and new grads are all welcome. Worried about “losing skills” like the homecare myth would have you believe? Our cases run the gamut from general nursing care to extremely complex ICU-level home care. Almost all our patients have some type of feeding challenge and are either G or J-tube feeding dependent. Others might have tracheostomies and require ventilator support; others might have seizure disorders, use ostomy appliances, need wound management, require diabetic maintenance, and so much more. While our primary focus is helping to manage complex medical care at home, our equally important goal is to ensure our patient’s social-emotional health & well-being. We have many families looking for nursing help and get new referrals all the time. There simply aren’t enough nurses to care for them all. Pay rates-for the three differentials: all RNs are paid $44/46/48; all LPNs are paid $36/38/40.
