Job Description Summary:
Nights (7:00pm-7:00am)Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Radiologists; transports and positions patients; performs Computed Tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision; performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for Computed Tomography diagnosis; maintains adequate records of procedures performed; act professionally while on duty to serve as a role model for Student Technologists.

Graduation from a training program for Radiologic Technologists, current “active status with the ARRT (by obtaining required ECE points on a biennium basis) and licensure by the State of Ohio is required.
Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of cross-sectional as well as normal anatomy and principles of physics and electricity is required. Good knowledge of medical terminology as well as computer usage is a must. Familiarity with CT Scan equipment and the procedures and patient positions necessary to obtain quality CT Scans
Skills:
Mental: Considerable technical ability gained through training and practice
must be combined with initiative and judgement to meet the changing demands of the position. The ability to concentrate on details, patience, cooperation, discretion and tact are also required.
Manual: The skills associates with the proper handling of Computer Tomography equipment and the positioning and handling of patients are necessary in a major part of the job.
