Job Description Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Remote Security Clearance: Secret Omni Federal is a small business focused on modern application development, cloud, and data analytics for the Federal government. Omni Federal designs, builds and operates data-rich applications leveraging advanced data modeling, machine learning and data visualization techniques to empower our customers to make better data-driven decisions. We are seeking a strong Lead Software Engineer to support the Air Force for a modeling and simulation migration support project. This is an exciting new initiative where the Air Force is mirroring Silicon Valley processes and capabilities to quickly deploy new capabilities. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients. Position Description (what you will do) * Provide senior knowledge and senior hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and leading software teams.
* Help to maintain and improve the performance of existing software code, to design and update software databases
* Exemplify astute ability in writing test scripts in an agile software development environment with an emphasis on automated test procedures, and continuous integration and continuous delivery of software.
* Recommend improvements to existing software applications as necessary. Requirements: * Five (5) years' experience in full stack development to include C++, Python, AFSIM, Web services, Database, and/or web application development.
* Three (3) years' experience with agile and lean philosophies.
* Two (2) years' experience with DevSecOps tools and processes to include, but not limited to Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Maven, Jenkins, Git.
* Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify and ThreadFix.
* Two (2) years' experience with cloud (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and/or RESTful architectures.
* Two (2) years' experience with container technologies such as VM, Docker, singularity, containers, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.
* Two (2) years' experience developing in cloud based. h) Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration techniques.
