One Federal solution is seeking a motivated Senior Financial Management Analyst to support our Government Client in Washington, DC. The Senior Financial Management Analyst provides advice related to overall business approaches and techniques, financial management systems, and related accounting principles. Task and Duties: Management and overview of financial resources, management controls, special studies and analysis, resource allocation, validation and prioritization of needs, review, approval, and audit of funding, and the establishment of internal operating procedures.
Develops the budget of the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund.
Monitors monthly expenditures and revenues to ensure accuracy in accounting procedures and the development of reports.
Provides direction and support in the reconciliation of working capital funds.
Provides direction for the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund's short- and long-range plans and program goals.
Develops 10-year cashflow projections of the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund
Evaluates and provides guidance on the 10-year cashflow of the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund and the program impact of the financial picture and future funding requirements/trends.
Develop reports, presentations, or other work products.
Participates in virtual audit engagements, serving as a technical subject matter expert.
Provides direction and support in the planning of the annual independent audit of the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund.
Serves as subject matter expert to the A/OPR/CR Director and Central Fund Board. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. BS in Accounting related field
Certification as Certified Public Accountant or equivalent designation.
Ten (10) years or more of relevant experience.
Knowledge and mastery of the application of a wide range of qualitative or quantitative (e.g., (e.g., using excel spreadsheets, Access, accounting systems, etc.) methods for assessing and improving effectiveness.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts in order to apply them to actual financial problems; organize, interpret, and evaluate financial and management data; and resolve management, accounting, and taxation problems.
Knowledge of the range of financial laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the Central Commissary and Recreation Fund.
Knowledge and ability to assemble and analyze relevant facts and draw significant conclusions.
Knowledge and skill in presenting accurate findings and the ability to make feasible and responsive recommendations both orally and in writing. These recommendations may require negotiations with management to accept extensive changes in established procedures or they may involve substantial resources.
Knowledge and skill in complex spreadsheet, data analytics, and the use of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to interact effectively with individuals in garnering cooperation and support for key planning, operations, and management initiatives in the assigned program area.
