One Federal Solution is seeking a highly qualified Research Physician to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert services related to high-risk clinical trials, with a focus on making safety risk determinations and conducting protocol safety reviews. This role requires a deep understanding of otolaryngology, surgical device trials, and communication disorders. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough risk determinations for high-risk surgical and device clinical trials by gathering and evaluating information from investigators. Provide recommendations on risk levels and appropriate grant mechanisms.
Perform comprehensive reviews of draft clinical trial protocols to ensure safety measures are in place, identifying potential risks to participants and recommending mitigation strategies.
Offer clinical research consultation to NIDCD Research Physicians and assist in training new physicians as needed.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on risk determinations, safety reviews, and recommendations to NIDCD staff and investigators. Qualifications: M.D. in Otolaryngology and a B.S. in Engineering.
At least 10 years of post-doctoral experience in surgery, including a minimum of 1 year as a Research Physician at the NIH.
Strong knowledge of communication disorders, scientific writing, and reviewing clinical trial protocols.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with investigators and research staff. About One Federal Solution
