Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a highly skilled Unit Test Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Advana project for the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on unit testing and will play a critical role in enhancing the team's current unit testing efforts. Responsibilities * Expand coverage of existing unit testing efforts to ensure comprehensive code quality.
* Design and implement unit tests for the smallest functional units of code, ensuring high standards of software reliability and performance.
* Collaborate with software developers to understand code functionality and requirements, enabling effective test design.
* Utilize front-end technologies, specifically TYPESCRIPT and REACT, to develop and execute unit tests.
* Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to streamline testing processes.
* Establish and document standards and best practices for unit testing and software development.
* Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and testing practices.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle. Required Skills: * Clearance: Secret
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on unit testing. * Proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly TYPESCRIPT and REACT. * Strong ability to read and understand code, with experience in designing effective unit tests. * Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: * Experience working on projects for the Department of Defense or other government agencies. * Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
