Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer with expertise in satellite communication systems to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, implementation, and management of satellite communication systems, with a particular focus on wideband satellite systems and situational awareness management. This role requires a strong technical background in RF communications, satellite networks, and military communication protocols. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and integrate satellite communication systems, including Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) and other military satellite systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications.
Lead the development and implementation of situational awareness (SA) management systems, including real-time data retrieval, anomaly detection, and performance monitoring.
Conduct link budget analysis, power management optimization, and frequency coordination to ensure reliable satellite communications.
Perform system-level testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment and operation of satellite systems.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including system architecture, design documents, and user manuals.
Provide technical support and guidance to operations teams during the deployment and maintenance phases.
Work closely with government agencies such as Space Force and military stakeholders to ensure compliance with communication standards and security protocols. Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of RF communication principles, link budget analysis, and satellite network design.
Experience with Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) or similar military satellite systems is highly desirable.
Proficiency in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, system integration, and testing.
Familiarity with military communication protocols, such as MIL-STD-188 or similar standards.
Experience with situational awareness systems, including real-time monitoring, data analysis, and reporting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Must be eligible for or possess a security clearance (Secret or above). Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning in the context of satellite communication systems.
Knowledge of power management and optimization techniques for satellite networks.
