Find your place at Pace®


Join us as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll put your love of science to work in the Scientific Insourcing Services department. You’ll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®.


 


This candidate will be responsible for completing basic bench testing to support research and development laboratories. This includes basic solution and sample preparation such as cultures and plating as well as maintaining equipment, supplies, and lab cleanliness that support the development of a variety of healthcare products. 


 


What you’ll do



  • General laboratory activities and instrumentation potentially including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances 

  • Prepares lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, cleanliness, and related areas. 

  • Basic biological testing including microbial culture or plating (bacterial or viral), depth filtration, BSA testing, and cell culture. 

  • Completes daily/weekly equipment checks and calibrations. 

  • Reviews, completes, and maintains equipment logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information. 

  • General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance. 

  • Maintains consumables inventory and completes regular checks for purchasing. 

  • Disposes of laboratory materials and samples using well-established guidelines and instructions.


What you’ll bring



  • HS Diploma or Equivalent required, Associates degree preferred

  • 2 years of laboratory experience preferred

  • Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving 

  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven 

  • Able to communicate effectively
