INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICE
$36.59 - $42.08 / hour
About the Role
We are seeking ambitious, hands-on Industrial Electrician Apprentices. Qualification for this position will require candidates to pass a series of Electrical Aptitude, Basic Skills (arithmetic & measurement) and Basic Electrical Knowledge Tests. Successful candidates will be interviewed and the most qualified candidates selected to participate in the apprenticeship program.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand OSHA guidelines for PPE, Lockout & NFPA70E safe electrical work practices. Understand & adhere to NEC requirements for new installations
- Participate in a 4-year, Department of Labor accredited electrical apprentice program consisting of classroom/online courses, in-house informational seminars and on the job multi-craft training.
- Take daily instructions from maintenance & engineering management. Mentor under licensed electricians & other 5-skill mechanics.
This four-year program is designed to build industrial electricians.
Subject matter includes but is not limited to:
- Learn to plan work, understand drawings, schematics, and instruction manuals.
- Learn to troubleshoot & repair motor controls & three phase motors up to 1500Hp.
- Learn to Install, program, troubleshoot PLC’s, VFD’s & touch screens, etc. for Allen Bradley/Rockwell & GE products.
- Perform all facilities maintenance including lighting & fire alarm / fire suppression systems
