IT Security Engineer – On site in Plymouth, MN

SCIS seeking a dynamic and dedicated IT Security Engineer to join our team in Plymouth, MN. If you have a passion for compliance, security, and providing top-notch customer service, this is the perfect opportunity for you! What You'll Do:
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain government compliance for information systems in accordance with NIST SP 800-171.
• Audit & Analyze: Perform auditing of information systems, including collecting and analyzing audit logs.
• Stay Secure: Conduct monthly compliance scans, vulnerability scans, and patching of information systems.
• Validate Security: Perform initial assessment and periodic security control validation using NISS, SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, Active Directory, and other similar tools.
• Innovate Solutions: Use contractual and customer requirements to build, design, and architect technical solutions.
• Administer Systems: Serve as a system administrator for users of a medium enterprise-level network.
• Support Users: Provide tier-1 helpdesk support to 40+ users, including password resets, Active Directory management, BitLocker issues, imaging, and basic troubleshooting.
• Deliver Excellence: Provide excellent customer service while being creative in devising solutions that are mission-driven. What We Need: • US Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
• Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
o 5+ years of system administrator experience
o 5+ years of Active Directory experience
• Expertise: Proficient understanding of NIST SP 800-171 Nice to Have:
• CompTIA Security+ certified
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience as a Linux system administrator (Red Hat)
• Networking and TCP/IP experience
