Job Description
Life Enrichment Assistants are responsible for facilitating the planned activities in a retirement community for both assisted living and memory care units. We host activities daily from Bingo! to learning about history and culture, to grocery shopping. On Tuesday, the position will be in charge of driving residents to and from appointments. Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this community
- Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that facility activities and resident progress are evaluated
- involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
- Drive residents to appointment one day per week
- Two Saturdays per month required to assist with activities
- One late evening per month for all hands on deck resident event
Qualifications
- Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure and be a self-starter
- Background, Driver, and Drug test required upon hire
- Able to move at least 50 pounds, including tables and chair on a regular basis
