Responsibilities Peraton is looking for a Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 Messaging Engineer with M365 administrative experience. This position will be responsible for managing an on-premise Microsoft Exchange deployment integrated with M365. The role demands strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should be able to present complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences and possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: * Research, design, and develop solutions related to and the integration of Exchange 2016/2019 and M365.
* Assist and guide in implementing security and compliance features like data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, Defender for email, and information protection policies.
* Manage users and groups, assign administrative roles, and configure security and privacy settings through the Admin Center.
* Regularly review reports to enhance the efficiency of the on-premise Exchange solution and Office 365 environment and monitor the health and performance of both the on-premise and M365 messaging services using built-in and third-party tools.
* Provide technical support and configuration assistance to employees for on-premise Exchange solution and Microsoft 365 email.Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA with in Computer Science, Information Technology degree or related field or high school diploma/equivalent and minimum 12 years experience
* 3+ years of experience as an M365 Administrator or in a similar role within an enterprise environment.
* U.S. Citizenship required; must have an active Secret clearance . Preferred Qualifications:. * Knowledgeable in PowerShell scripting for automating and managing Exchange and M365 email environments.
* Knowledgeable of Exchange and M365 email security and compliance features, including DLP, information protection, and audit logging.
* Experience with Azure, preferably in a government tenet. * Familiarity, SCCM, or Endpoint Manager for application and device management.
* Must have, or be able to obtain a Security + certificate within 6 weeks of hire.
* Must have a DoD Secret security clearance.
* Must be able to lead teams to troubleshoot, create mail-flow diagrams, process and procedures. Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000.
