Consulting Architect Washington D.C. Area Remote, with some travel to onsite clients Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret or higher clearance Responsibilities: Participate in hands on solution design, integrating both technical and business concepts, and present a transformational journey to project stakeholders.
Carry activities such as: technical contribution and guidance in project planning, lead in high level and low-level design, solution validation, impact analysis of change requests, etc.
Leverage technical skillset and help to quickly build trustworthy relationship with customer in pre-sales stages through technical workshops, RFX responses, PS solution customization, scoping exercises and LOE estimation etc.
Drive efficiency in delivery model.
Assist with refinement and optimization of customer lifecycle and VMware Telco Cloud portfolio.
Provide valuable insight to our product teams. Required Skills: Strong client facing experience as a Consulting Architect or Solutions Engineer focused on VMware solutions
5 years' experience in architecting and designing data center automation and network function virtualization private cloud solutions.
Working experience with VMware Cloud Infrastructure – vSphere, ESXi, NSX-T, vCD, etc
Deep understanding of the telecommunications market, NFV/SDN context, standards, technology and use cases
Holds VMware certifications
Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification
Hands on familiarity with scripting using Python and troubleshooting approaches
Knowledge of cloud native application concepts Preferred Skills: Holds more than one VMware Advanced Professional certification or TOGAF certified
