OSINT/PAI Targeting Analyst
Open-Source/Publicly Available Information Intelligence (OSINT/PAI) Analysts conduct advanced collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination (PED), reporting, and targeting using publicly available and commercially available data sources. OSINT Analysts shall interface with the Intelligence Community to produce intelligence assessments supporting special operations, targeting, HUMINT and exploitation operations, cyber operations, and indications and warnings threat estimates. OSINT Analysts shall fuse publicly available and commercially available information for multi-intelligence assessments.
The position of OSINT/PAI Targeting Analyst – Subject Matter Expert shall possess the following qualifications:
• Minimum of eight years of experience as an intelligence analyst within the DoD or the Intelligence Community.
• Minimum of three years of specific experience in OSINT/PAI exploitation directly supporting Joint special operations, intelligence operations, kinetic and non-kinetic targeting, and HUMINT lead development. Prior experience providing OSINT analytic support to Joint special operations is preferred. Experience with traditional/legacy OSINT duties (i.e., reviewing, translating, and reporting on feeds from domestic or foreign PAI, social media, or news sources) will not be considered equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience with digital signature reduction.
• Advanced proficiency in the current suite of available all-source intelligence tools, databases, and repositories, as well as analytic and targeting methodology.
• Advanced proficiency with the current suite of available specific OSINT/PAI tools, databases, and repositories, as well as OSINT research and methodology, and a strong understanding of the digital information environment (including social media, the internet, commercially available data, and deep/dark web data sources).
• Advanced understanding of OSINT/PAI authorities, regulations, and policy.
• Superior written communications skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Superior verbal briefing skills, with a demonstrated history of briefing at the O5/GS14 level or above.
