Plum Market Travel Services

Description:

The Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects for the Travel Services division from inception to completion. This role involves planning, directing, and managing construction activities to ensure the projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Construction Manager will work closely with the project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, architects, airport authorities, and the Plum Market leadership team, to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Candidate is preferably based out of Omaha, NE

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage day-to-day project and construction activities for projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and contract changes.
  • Conduct bid reviews and descoping interviews for contractor selection.
  • Track and manage project budgets and forecasts.
  • Build and maintain construction schedules in construction software.
  • Attend and coordinate design, progress, and construction meetings.
  • Review and compare contractor and consultant invoices.
  • Support RFP preparation, proposal evaluation, and contracting processes.
  • Liaise with municipal and regulatory officials for entitlements and permits.
  • Monitor project schedules, progress, and contractor insurance obligations.
  • Inspect construction sites for completion and safety.

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years experience as a Construction Manager is preferred.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of development and construction fundamentals, including design phases, delivery methods, and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in construction.
  • Ability to travel to various locations across the country.
