Position OverviewStanley is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Shopify Solutions Architect to join our growing technology team. In this role you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing Stanley’s Shopify-based eCommerce platform. You will audit our websites go deep in our consumer vision to help us build a resilient, responsive and optimized portfolio of eCommerce sites.This role will have a substantial influence over the shopping experience of Stanley global consumers. Discover, design, and architect custom Shopify solutions that align with these goals and ensure scalability, security, and performance. These solutions will encompass complex systems, including front-end interfaces, backend services, integrations, and data structures.Lead site audits and discoveries to assess the current state and create a documented vision and plan for improved, Shopify-based solutions.Guide and mentor a team of developers to build and deploy Shopify-based projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Provide technical guidance to resolve challenging technical issues and to make optimal architecture and technology stack decisions.Stay up to date with the latest eCommerce trends and emerging technologies. Serve as the subject matter expert on Shopify and headless eCommerce architecture and use your knowledge of Shopify Enterprise features to make recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.Conduct regular code reviews and maintain high coding standards to ensure the delivery of clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Ensure tickets are groomed and assigned effectively and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues when assigned.Work closely with project managers, designers, and developers from concept to launch to ensure the successful execution of eCommerce projects.About YouProven experience architecting eCommerce solutions for retail or consumer products companies. Deep understanding of software design principles, scalability, security, and best practices. Extensive experience in, and passion for, coaching and mentoring engineers and other technical team members. Able to contribute meaningfully to discussions and decisions around the overall objectives of an eCommerce business. Excel at developing two-way relationships with business leaders and serving as a thought partner to them. Prior experience supporting a rapidly growing eCommerce business. Thrives in a fast-paced environment; understands and can articulate tradeoffs between functionality, cost, and time to multi-functional teams and partners.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.8+ years of progressive experience developing and maintaining large-scale eCommerce systems. Expertise in Shopify, Shopify Plus, and Liquid template language. Shopify Plus certification is a plus. Strong proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API integrations, front-end development, and performance optimization.Understanding of headless eCommerce architecture and its implementation using technologies like React, Vue.js, GraphQL, and headless CMS platforms is a plus.A track record of staying up to date with industry trends and technologies.Stanley is committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
