Seeking candidate to support SUAS Program with acceptance flights, flights after repair/return from vendor, flying SUAS for capability demonstrations/Test & Evaluations and in the field for Operational troubleshooting. Travel should be expected, including to vendor demonstrations, partner technology sharing events, troubleshooting in the field environment and planned/installing of SUAS/supporting technologies. This role would be to supplement the program with a technical background to resolve complications with software, hardware, integration and field challenges. This position would an experienced SUAS operator and potentially have instructor level experience, including advanced troubleshooting and problem solving with USBP/CBP-related technologies. Communications background is a large plus, to navigate the web of connectivity via wifi, Bluetooth, and various radios (Silvus, MPU-5, field radios,...). Electrical or mechanical engineer experience or Industrial mechanic experience would also be advantageous to support the integration/troubleshooting of various payload integrations on SUAS. Cyber security experience would also support current and future challenges related to SUAS jamming/spoofing in Operational environments. The ideal candidate would also be experienced with RF spectrum deconfliction and jamming. This individual would research field challenges/complaints, develop various solutions and review the options with SUAS Program leadership for impact/cost-benefit for innovative solutions. They would also update their job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities with partners/industry and professional organizations. Job Requirements Part 107 licensure with ability to test fly a multitude of CBP SUAS platforms 1-year operational experience Available to travel 25 % on-duty hours to support SUAS operations/deployments Desired attributes: * 500+ SUAS Flight hours on multiple airframe types
