As the Site Construction Senior Manager for our Iowa City plant you will lead the activities for our new 150,000 square foot plant expansion. In this role you will lead and manage all aspects of site construction projects for Oral-B Laboratories, ensuring efficient execution, adherence to design principles, and successful integration of new facilities within our global operations. This role is pivotal in driving our manufacturing and supply chain capabilities forward.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of site construction projects, from conceptual design to commissioning.
- Implement and enforce clean design principles throughout all construction phases, ensuring compliance with Oral-B Laboratories' standards and industry best practices.
- Manage the customization of construction plans and facility layouts to meet specific operational requirements for both existing and new product lines.
- Collaborate with E-Commerce and supply chain teams to ensure new facilities support efficient product flow and distribution, including integration with E-PLCM work processes.
- Develop and review equipment specifications for all new installations, ensuring optimal performance for fluids and solids processing.
- Contribute to the method of material development and method of packaging development from a facilities perspective, ensuring constructability and operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Manager or related degree.
- Fundamental Construction certification or achieving the fundamental construction certification after 1 year in the role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale site construction projects, preferably within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of Clean Design principles and their application in industrial settings.
- Expertise in E-PLCM Work Processes and their integration with construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate Equipment Specifications for complex industrial processes.
- In-depth knowledge of Fluids and Solids Processing operations and infrastructure.
- Experience with Method of Material Development and Method of Packaging Development from a facility design perspective.
