The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring product quality. As a Process Engineer/Line Leader you will learn the required technical manufacturing skills, onboard to IWS, develop general leadership skills, and leverage digital analytics. The Process Engineer/Line Leader will be part of the line triad and support the continuous improvement cycle for the line, including owning daily direction setting and run to target as part of the execution.
Job Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and optimize existing ones to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
* Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and throughput.
* Develop and execute process validation protocols, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
* Monitor process performance using statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools, troubleshoot deviations, and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
* Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, and materials to improve process capabilities and product performance.
* Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
* Lead and participate in root cause analysis for process failures and implement preventive measures.
Job Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the consumer goods or distribution industry.
* Strong understanding of process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
* Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations.
