Job Description The successful candidate will design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping systems for various facility projects. Responsibilities include developing design calculations, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment selection and layout, ductwork and piping sizing and layout, supporting project proposals, interdisciplinary coordination, and participating in the QA/QC process. Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Experience with thermal load calculation and energy modeling for mechanical systems.
Proficiency in calculating and sizing mechanical equipment, including AHUs, fans, and pumps.
Experience in sizing and laying out ductwork and hydronic piping systems.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Experience with Revit building information modeling software.
Professional Engineering license is a plus.
Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to meet vaccination mandate requirements for Department of Energy (DOE) client site access is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Work in a design team environment and take design direction from senior-level engineers.
Develop calculations, flow diagrams, and specifications.
Size and layout ductwork, hydronic, and plumbing piping systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines.
