We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer III to join our dynamic team of experts. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in developing cutting-edge solutions in a collaborative environment alongside systems, software, and specialty engineers. This on-site position (4 days per week ) requires a deep understanding of the systems engineering life cycle, ensuring the highest levels of infrastructure availability, performance, and security. Location: On-site (4 days per week) Team: Integrated team with systems, software, and specialty engineers Focus: Developing mission-critical infrastructure with high availability, performance, and security. Responsibilities:
Linux Expertise: Strong understanding and management of Linux systems, including SELinux, daemons, user/storage management, and log analysis.
Network Configuration: Using Squid for transit proxy configuration and familiarity with NGINX and reverse proxy setups.
Docker Management: Troubleshooting and managing Docker, including Docker Compose, backup, and restoration of Docker components.
JFrog/Artifactory: Configuring repositories and artifacts, and integrating with Docker Hub.
Virtual Desktops: Managing Guacamole virtual desktops, provisioning user accounts, and setting up environments with xrdp.
AWS Management: Using AWS CLI tools for tasks related to services like EC2, S3, and EBS.
Automation: Strong background in bash scripting for automating tasks across multiple environments.
Keycloak Management: Provisioning and managing Keycloak authentication for realms, clients, and user roles.
Systems Management: Full lifecycle management of systems and infrastructure, including security, backup, redundancy strategies, and monitoring application performance.
Customer Interaction: Ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and problem resolution. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years in Cloud/System Engineering, specifically with AWS services (EC2, S3), Docker, Virtualization, Kubernetes, and Containerization.
Systems Development: Experience in systems-of-systems definition, development, integration, and Agile methodology. Technical Skills: Strong background in both Windows and Unix/Linux environments. Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI clearance preferred. Citizenship Requirement:
U.S. Citizenship: Required due to security clearance needs for government/federal contracts.
