Position Title: Fabrication Lead
Wage: $26/hour
Shift: 2nd (Will train on 1st)
Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday (1st shift 6am-2:30pm)
We are searching for skilled candidates for a 2nd shift Fabrication Lead position in Riverside, MO! An ideal candidate will have previous experience with fabrication, hand and power tools, quality inspection, and leadership, as well as is comfortable with computers. Fabrication Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily –
- Enforce a safe work environment and ensure incidents, near misses, and all other safety related matters and all PPE is always worn
- Provide coverage to the floor when needed
- Receive all fab Purchase Orders (PO’s) in BCPS
- Responsible for shop floor day-to-day operations (Inspections, shipments, etc.)
- Ensure quality per Victaulic’s standards are met
- Report attendance issues from fab personnel
- Perform all operations associated with fab cell proficiently
- Report out shop performance metrics daily (daily update email)
- Diagnose/preform basic machine maintenance
- Work with the Manager to ensure catalog is properly staffed and schedule is maintained
- Oversee QA technicians during final sign-offs
- Work with Production Coordinator on daily updates
- Ensure monthly FEM audits are complete
- Generate all Fab BOL’s with BOL Generator
- Coordinate truck scheduling
Weekly –
- Weekly safety walk-through
- Ensure Toolbox Talks are held weekly
- Report out operator’s performance metrics
- Report out for your facility in weekly fabrication scheduling meetings
- Responsible for all fab correspondence and updates to respective parties
- Receive all fab Purchase Orders (PO’s) in BCPS
- Establish daily goals based on achieving fab goal of .5 - .6 hours per spool
- Ensure weekly TPM’s are performed
Monthly –
- Fab update reports and safety reporting to be completed every month and relayed to staff in facility
- Ensure consumables inventory are maintained/ replenished
- Work together with Fab Manager/Supervisor/Admin on FEM
- Develop road maps with Fab Manager/Supervisor/Admin to achieve and comply with FEM Criteria
- Lead crew properly in order to meet deadlines
- Work along with Fab Manager/Supervisor to determine capacity of the shop
- Become certified in TPM and at least one other FEM discipline
- Responsible for training curriculum and onboarding of new employees
- Report and track all PER’s, SCAR’s and quality alerts for your location
- Ensure annual inventory and monthly KB card audits are completed
Fabrication Lead Requirements:
- High school degree required
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience
- Previous experience in planning / buying activities
- Previous forklift experience
- Forklift license required for all specified equipment (must be obtained after employment)
- Experience with forklift-mounted computers and bar-code scanners (can be trained on the job)
- Able to operate generic computer systems at intermediate level; Microsoft Office (Excel, Power
Point, Outlook, and Word; must be able to operate)
- Basic inventory management skills
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and grasp throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lead teams
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings and interpret technical
manuals
