Vice President of Business Development R&K Enterprise Solutions (R&K) is a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business with an earned reputation for delivering best-value services in Information Technology, Program Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Project and Program Management, Exercise Support, and a variety of administrative services to Government agencies. R&K is seeking a driven, high performing candidate with significant defense industry knowledge and experience, strong relationship management skills, and a proven track record in Department of Defense (DOD) business development. Title : Vice President of Business Development Location : Remote Duration: Permanent/Full-Time Security Clearance: Desired not Required Anticipated Start Date: December 2024 Duties - Include but not limited to : * Oversee the daily collection, review, and response to business opportunities that originate from our existing contract vehicles and other sources. * Be responsible for generating new business leads and opportunities primarily in the DOD business sector with a focus on professional services aligned to R&K's strategic growth plan. * Collaborate with the R&K growth team and Program Management Office to accomplish the following: gather and assess customer needs; determine the appropriate technical solutions; build a robust funnel of opportunities; assess the highest probability of win opportunities to capture; build a team response potentially with other partner firms as a prime or sub; influence contract vehicle selection with the contracting team; and guide the opportunities through the capture process to bid and win new work. * Effectively utilize tools such as GovWin, SAM.GOV, and other similar online platforms. * Be Responsible for engaging with customers and participate in industry events and professional organizations. * Be responsible for creating and maintaining opportunity management related procedures and management policies that are incorporated into our ISO 9001:2015 Integrated Management System. We follow a process based on the Shipley method, tailored to our needs and requirements. * Report daily to the Chief Growth Officer and work directly with the leadership team and corporate staff. Depending on the location of the successful candidate, travel is estimated at 25%. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA) : Candidate must have the following qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree Required * Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the DOD which might be a combination of uniformed service, civil service, and/or defense contracting * Minimum of five years' experience and proven Business Development Success in the DOD market specifically in capture management and/or business development * Excellent communication and written skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products * Open to travel up to 25% Desired qualifications: * Experience writing proposals in response to government requests for proposals * Experience with DOD clients: US Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, Intelligence Community R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer committed to cultural diversity and compliance.
