Raytheon Electronic Warfare Systems is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support our Emerging Programs product area. The Lead Systems Engineer is the program’s primary Systems Engineering focal point, responsible for program’s technical management and ensuring system performance. The Lead Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership to multi-disciplinary program teams and partner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring that the engineering team aligns to cost/schedule. It is the Lead Systems Engineer’s responsibility to ensure that the systems engineering processes are in place and followed. This position is an onsite role. 

What You Will Do  

  • You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary program team to develop and design complex electronic warfare systems 

  • You will lead a team in the derivation of system requirements, functional analyses, system design maturation, verification and validation methodologies, and test execution.  

  • You will develop technical performance metrics for system architectures that support engagement of emerging complex threats 

  • You will participate in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to technical tasks across the product development lifecycle from early demonstrations to production and sustainment 

  • You will execute in-house and off-site system demonstration activities for demonstrations and/or subsystem sell-off, and brief senior program and engineering leadership  

Qualifications You Must Have   

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 12 years’ experience in engineering and manufacturing environments

  • Experience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and/or customers

  • Experience throughout the full lifecycle (from development to production and sustainment) of Electronic Warfare, RADAR, or RF products/systems

  • Experience leading cross product teams to resolve challenging technical problems in a multiple stakeholder environment

  • Experience planning, managing, or leading execution of EW/Radar systems integration, verification, and/or validation activities in lab or field environments

Qualifications We Prefer ? 

  • Advanced education in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. 

  • 8+ years of experience in millimeter, microwave RF Design, and in Digital Signal Processing 

  • Experience with Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management 

  • Experience with requirements tracking tools such as DOORS, DNG, or Cameo 

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
