Raytheon is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer-P3 to join the Infrastructure, Security and Monitoring Team supporting the operations and maintenance of custom solutions at Raytheon Aurora campus. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with DoD programs and DISA STIGs, Information Assurance (IA) Tools (ex. Tripwire, LogRhythm, Symantec AV) integration & NIST SP800-53 Risk Management Framework. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience in troubleshooting and resolving IA Integration & deployment issues for IA tools. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct research and reference reading in obtaining technical information

  • Integration and configuration of IA Tools such as Tripwire, LogRhythm, Symantec AV

  • Resolve issues with IA Tools and technical documentation and guidance

  • Communication with Leadership on task status and/or issues related to IA Tools deployment and configuration

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of cyber security experience

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems

  • Experience with Cyber technologies with NIST 800 Series and DoD 8570 regulations and governing DISA STIGs and/or, SRGs

  • Experience with Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) concepts, to include 2-factor authentication, Public Key encryption techniques, patch management, end-point security systems, intrusion detection, security event management and/or defense-in-depth

  • Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II (Security+ or equivalent) Compliant Certification

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • An advanced degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience

  • An active and transferable DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance

  • Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37

  • Experience with information security toolsets such as Tripwire, LogRhythm, Tenable Security Center, Nessus and/or SPLUNK or other related Intrusion Detection Tools

  • Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision

  • Ability to support periodic travel (less than 25%)

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
