Qualifications
- Core skills in behavioral therapy, patient care, and medical documentation
- Premium skills in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and cognitive behavioral therapy
- Experience in outpatient mental health counseling as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Ability to provide patient assessment and care following HIPAA guidelines
We are looking for an outpatient mental health counselor with experience working with adults. Compared to many agencies and groups, we try to do things a little differently. Our counselors have a tremendous amount of flexibility and autonomy. We offer flexible compensation packages ranging from commission employment to a combination of base salary plus commission.
We accept private insurance and private pay but do not participate in Soonercare. Most of our clients are adults with a few teenagers. We offer both in person and telehealth options with some counselors dedicating specific days per week to working from home.
We pay our counselors as employees as opposed to 1099 contract workers. This certainly costs the company more but provides several advantages such as a shared tax burden, unemployment insurance, workers compensation insurance, group health and life insurance, as well as a 401k with matching.
If you want to try something different than the agency grind and don’t want to face the world of private practice on your own, consider the option of joining our group. We use a convenient and comprehensive electronic health record, keeping paperwork to a minimum. We offer peer support as well as competent office staff to handle billing and collection challenges.
An ideal candidate would be fully licensed with some type of identified niche and training or a willingness to receive training. They must be open-minded, affirming, and accepting of our diverse client base. If you're not already credentialed with insurance panels, we can start that process for you.
