Summary

The Account Assistant oversees all customer-order related matters, from the entering process to the point of invoicing. They work with computers to create word processing documents, spreadsheets, and input data. This position collaborates with the shipping and sales departments to ensure accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients by performing data entry through different platforms.
• Sort and attend to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
• Develop standards and best practices for future challenging orders.
• Receive incoming calls or work closely with many people in the office, speaking clearly with good people skills.
• Assist in filing duties and operate office machines such as photocopiers, scanners, voice mail systems, and personal computers.

Compliance:

• Adhere to GMPS (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Computer skills including knowledge of Internet software, Inventory software, SAP Manufacturing software, Microsoft Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. Basic understanding of HTML.
• Detail-oriented with fluency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, accept schedule and duty changes, work overtime and Saturdays as needed, and adapt to customer changes and/or new practices.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to walk and climb or balance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Moderate noise level.
