Under general supervision, the Lead Cook is responsible for preparing and overseeing the preparation of food items to ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and quantity for residents in Residential Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and the Health Center Dining Room. This role supports daily kitchen operations by coordinating workflow during meal preparation and service, monitoring food quality and portion control, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The Lead Cook assists with training and guiding kitchen staff, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and supporting the Dining Services Manager or Executive Chef with operational needs. As a representative of Dining Services, the Lead Cook is expected to demonstrate professionalism and contribute to a positive dining experience that promotes resident satisfaction.

FULL-TIME POSITION - Varied shifts. Weekend + holiday availability. 

Pay Range $25.50 to $27 an hour. 

To be successful in this role, you would have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Professional Cook required.
  • 1+ years of Supervisory/Lead Cook experience required.
  • Experience working in a senior living, healthcare or hospitality environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe certification and/or Food Handlers Certification or enrollment in the certification course preferred.
