Position OverviewThe VP Legal Entity Controller will lead and manage the legal entity reporting teams, responsible for reporting to regulators and other internal and external parties, ensuring that appropriate resources, governance, controls and oversight are in place and functioning properly. The VP Legal Entity Controller should have, or develop, a strong understanding of accounting/regulatory standards and will work cross functionally to consult on how transactions will be reported to regulators.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the legal entity reporting teams ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance filingsProvide accounting and regulatory subject matter expertise in supporting business development activities, special projects and strategic initiativesRemain current on latest changes in statutory and U.S. GAAP reporting to ensure they are correctly and consistently reported in the legal entity financial statementsWork with other functions to shape and understand the purpose, goals and objectives of the legal entities.
