SR. DESIGN TECHNICIAN

Renaissance Architecture is seeking a skilled Senior Design Technician with expertise in Revit and AutoCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working on K-12 projects, producing precise architectural drawings and construction documentation that meet school district standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. This role requires proficiency in both 3D modeling with Revit and 2D drafting with AutoCAD, ensuring a seamless workflow across software platforms and delivering high-quality educational environments.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Drafting & Documentation:
  1. Create and manage detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and construction documents for K-12 projects using Revit for 3D modeling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
  2. Ensure that all design documentation meets the unique requirements of K-12 facilities, including ADA compliance, safety regulations, and space planning for classrooms and educational spaces.
  3. Translate design intent into technical drawings, ensuring precision and compliance with school district standards and state regulations.
  4. Review work to ensure produced drawings are accurate and consistent throughout all project phases.

Candidate Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or Technical Certification in CAD-related discipline.

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years. Prefer experience in a team focused environment that concentrates on developing the best product for the client.

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
