Para Educator/ABA Behavior Technician

Ro Health is looking for Behavior Technicians/ RBT to provide support for in-school ABA and general classroom support cases in the Mountain View, Santa Clara, and San Jose area. We are looking for providers who have experience working with children with behavior challenges.

This position will begin ASAP and would be 6 hours/day, 5 days a week M-F. This position would involve working in close proximity to the teacher and providing behavioral support to students when applicable. We are looking for someone interested in committing to this position long-term. Experience working and supporting kids with special needs, and providing a mix of 1:1 and general support is preferred.

Our providers are assigned to cases as either 1:1 supports, or as a general classroom aide.

• As a 1:1 support: you would be going to each class with your student to provide behavioral and educational support throughout the day. 1:1 supporters are in charge of ensuring their student is on task and working towards their behavioral goals.
• General classroom supports: providers who are assigned to work with a single teacher or classroom. In this role, providers will support wherever they are needed most by the teacher. Typically every day looks different in this position, and you may be working with several different students throughout your day.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with Autism, special needs or other developmental disabilities
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• 1 Reference to your experience working with special needs

Physical Demands: This position regularly requires employees to talk, hear, and communicate with both children and adults. Employees are frequently required to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The position may frequently require lifting, bending, and crouching. The employee may occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.
