DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in Concord, California. The selected candidate will be at the helm of high-level accounting functions and will be supervising a team. This role is primarily in the Real Estate Development and Property Management industry and will require extensive experience with accounting software systems such as Yardi Voyager.Responsibilities:• Oversee all high-level accounting functions and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards• Supervise a team, fostering an environment of growth and development• Bring expertise in the Real Estate Development and Property Management industry to strategize and make informed decisions• Manage and maintain accounting software systems, particularly Yardi Voyager, to streamline financial processes• Prepare and understand consolidated financial statements, working closely with external CPA firms for audits• Handle multi-entity accounting, demonstrating strong organizational skills• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with team members and external stakeholders• Uphold a high level of integrity and confidentiality in all tasks and responsibilities• Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure smooth financial operations• Contribute to budget processes, providing insight and recommendations based on financial data.Requirements• Extensive experience of 10 or more years in a Controller role or similar financial management position.• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is beneficial.• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and requirements.• Proficiency in the use of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions.• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).• Proven experience in Auditing.• Familiarity with Budget Processes.• Proficiency in Yardi Voyager software.• Experience in Commercial Property Management.• Background in the Real Estate Industry is preferred.Job typePerm
