The Software organization develops software applications, including integration and test on missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. Our precision software and firmware integrate operating systems, device drivers, networking, and control software to bring together sensor, guidance, and flight control processing features to complete the mission. The Software org is made up of several Centers located across the country, responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle. This position provides senior-level administrative support to the Software Engineering Directorate's Effectors Center Department Leaders and their corresponding departments. The Effectors Center and its five departments provide world class software products for our customers' wide array of missile and related systems. The Administrative Assistant will be expected to work with and for others, building and maintaining relationships, as they work closely, accurately, and independently within broadly defined guidelines. The Assistant should be an effective communicator; someone who is aware of and responsive to the needs and concerns of the leadership team(s) they support. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position and a high attention to detail is critical, as work will often need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently with little to no supervision, even when shifting circumstances might demand a reprioritization of tasks. Following up carefully, closely, and respectfully is required to ensure quality work products are delivered. If you're passionate about what you could accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you. What You Will Do * Manage high-level meeting preparation and execution. Facilitate the efficient utilization of the leader's time through development and coordination of a complex, constantly changing calendar of meetings and other Raytheon functions with individuals and groups. Tasks include coordinating meeting logistics and agenda items, finalizing materials and reports, preparing meeting minutes and scheduling follow-ups. Requires situational awareness of conference room capacities and capabilities. * Coordinate with other administrative support staff within Software Engineering, Raytheon and RTX and ensuring that the standards of professionalism and customer service reflect leadership's values and service standards * Support site-specific needs, including but not limited to: * Coordinating desk assignments and locating onsite seating * Coordinating employee events and staff meetings, to include communications, room set up, technology setup, catering orders, supplies, etc. * Managing office supplies to assist with employee moves, stocking lab spaces, etc. * Facilitate onboarding/offboarding activities for employees * Manage travel arrangements; manage reimbursements associated with business-related travel; coordinate with Raytheon Travel on travel costs and finalization of travel authorizations and reimbursements. * Maintain and update employee rosters and other departmental data * Safeguard the confidentiality of Raytheon by exercising discretion in communicating with internal staff and external partners in the handling of confidential information and equipment Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires High School diploma or equivalent, with 4+ years of related work experience or associate's degree with 2+ years of experience or bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience * Experience supporting senior leadership in an administrative capacity * Experience with Zoom and the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams * The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
