This includes phased array radar systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and cooling systems. The department comprises individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support. The Radar Mechanical Design Department is seeking a Principal Engineer to serve as the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor) Array Integrated Structure Product Lead. LTAMDS is a recent Raytheon Technologies franchise program that will deliver a next generation radar with 360-degree visibility to defeat advanced threats including hypersonic weapons. The Integrated Structure Product Lead will be directly responsible for supporting the Array sub-Integrated Product Team (sub-IPT) executing the design, development, production, and delivery of the integrated phase arrays, including the array structure, power, RF, control, and cooling distribution, and miscellaneous array-level components. The Product Lead will have ownership over these items across multiple contracts and spanning multiple years, including efforts critical to support future growth. The Product Lead will need to demonstrate the capability to govern contract scope while accommodating break-in of new design capabilities and producibility improvements. This role will also require maintaining effective relationships with internal technical and programmatic stakeholders, including the IPT Leads, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality, Lifecycle Engineering, Chief Engineers, and Engineering Finance. Strong demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills are required to help drive the team to meet program milestones. This Integrated Structure Product Lead will be responsible for leading mechanical team members in the design and build of electronic modules, interconnects, and other array-level components as well as the support for system integration, test, and fielding activities. Key requirements for this position include proven problem-solving skills and experience in hardware design and integration, engineering analysis, and requirements alignment. Individuals will interface primarily with other mechanical and electrical engineers but will often be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams, program offices, and customers.
