The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE). This role will drive the execution of existing domestic contract(s) and develop new business opportunities (both follow on domestic Customer research and Development (CRAD) efforts as well as transitions to other SBUs/product lines). The AT program enables growth opportunities within the AT SBU and transition opportunities across multiple other SBUs. Program presence spans across multiple domestic sites/regions. Responsible for leading the day to day System of Systems (SoS) integration tasks (i.e. sensor and missile integration, weapon system and sensor integration) in order to execute on the funded CRAD programs delivering strategic capabilities.
Responsible for developing the SoS architecture and influencing the USG customer in defining advanced strategic capabilities which counter the evolving threats faced by our warfighters using Raytheon technologies. Serves as the Engineering Proposal Review (EPR) lead for CRAD to enable advanced capabilities and new business technologies into adjacent markets that span effectors, launchers, sensor and command and control. Includes influencing and alignment of activities with several USG customers and with other SBU leadership and product lines in order to define transitionable capabilities. Primary technical interface for the customer and other external performers and is responsible for driving technical interchange meetings, mission readiness reviews and mission data reviews.
The lead engineering stakeholder for program FRACAS and configuration management activities.
Responsible for tailoring engineering processes to ensure appropriate rigor for AT program scope.
Provide technical coordination across the engineering teams, PMO and the customer
Coordinate closely with the Program Manager(s) regarding budget and schedule Qualifications You Must Have: * Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience. A Ph.D. can account for 5 years of experience as required for this position. * Minimum of 12 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering * Proven Experience effectively leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals * Experience leading teams and IPT's, using tools and metrics in managing activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional management * Active DoD Secret security clearance Qualifications We Value: * Ability to travel to support the program needs as necessary (up to 25% domestic) * Self-starter - proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action * Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on previous programs * Experience delivering customer and/or management level briefings * Excellent communication skills with prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership * Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics * Proposal execution experience * Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges * Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and integration of weapon systems * Execution of testing for subsystems in various laboratory or field environments What We Offer: Whether you're just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
