LPN - Cardiovascular Clinic

Position Overview
BJC/Saint Luke's Health Cardiovascular Clinic is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. This full-time, day-shift position focuses on delivering high-quality professional nursing care within an outpatient cardiovascular setting.

Requirements
  • Licensure:Active LPN license in both Missouri and Kansas (or multistage/compact equivalent).
  • Certification:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills:Strong professional demeanor, excellent customer service, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:Perform clinical screenings for walk-in patients and manage telephone screenings using established protocols.
  • Clinical Procedures:Assist with biopsies, wound care, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, and diabetic nail care.
  • Patient Education:Provide essential instruction on medications and injection techniques.
  • Team Leadership:Delegate tasks to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) based on competency and scope of practice; provide coverage for Medical Assistant duties as required.
  • Compliance:Maintain clinic standards and practices to ensure superior patient outcomes.
