Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care

BJC HealthCare / Saint Luke's Health System - Shoal Creek Clinic

BJC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Shoal Creek Urgent Care team. This role delivers high-quality professional nursing care in a clinical setting, adhering to established medical standards and practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift:

Full time days - 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Coordination:Manage patient flow, perform telephone triage, and coordinate care for emergent patient needs and appointment scheduling.
  • Patient Advocacy & Education:Act as a subject matter expert for patient assessment and testing interpretation; identify and address learning needs for patients and their families.
  • Clinical Oversight:Delegate tasks to clinical staff based on competency and Scope of Practice; oversee the management of expired clinical samples.
  • Interdisciplinary Support:Maintain a professional demeanor while working both autonomously and collaboratively. Provide cross-functional support by performing LPN, Medical Assistant, or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation skills and expertise in clinical assessment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various clinical and office roles within the clinic.

Schedule & Clinic Hours:
  • Monday - Friday:6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • Saturday - Sunday:7:45 AM - 5:15 PM
  • Requirement:Must be available to work a rotating weekend shift (every third weekend).

Applicable Experience:
Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) Multi-State - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) Multi-State - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Associate Degree - Nursing
