Operating Room RN (Full-Time, Weekdays, Day Shifts)

This Operating Room setting (OR) has a total of 10 operating suites, with an additional 2 ORs with a focus on Eye procedures. Will work alongside the numerous team members including CRNAs, APPs, RNs, STs and surgeons to assist in invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures to ensure that the operating room environment is safe. Standard operating hours for this location are Monday-Friday from 0630-1700. This position does include late shifts and rotating call. Call shifts will be for Orthopedic trauma for after hour cases at the level 1 Trauma Center, Sanford Medical Center Fargo. This is considered as off-site Call, where you do not stay in the hospital but need to be available within 30 minutes of being contacted for an Orthopedic Trauma. This position currently includes rotating weekday and weekend call. Call rotation is subject to change but currently is one weekday call shift every 2-3 weeks, 4-5 weekends of call a year, and 1 Holiday a year. Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor s Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
