Petsource is looking for an experienced finance professional to take on the role of Plant Controller for our Seward production facility.  Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be an important member of the plant management team, for a state-of-the-art plant, which just completed an expansion, tripling operational capacity. You will be tasked with providing analysis to guide decision-making and taking a leadership role in establishing strong financial performance and measurement. You will also provide leadership to the local plant finance team to ensure the financial accounting and reporting needs of the plant are met to help the plant management team to meet their budgeted financial goals. Ensure all plant accounting/reporting is done and following US GAAP Accounting Standards and accounting policies/ procedures.Essential Functions: Act as expert on all things cost and manufacturing operationsPartner with plant and business leadership to enable optimal decision makingAct as subject matter expert for ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics)Assist in pricing decisions for new and existing customersReporting and Analysis:Manufacturing Standard vs. Variance AnalysisManage, execute, and optimize monthly close processPartner with IT on Development and roll-out of reporting in multiple systemsMeasurement and reporting of operational metrics: Yield, Scrap, Throughputs, Labor Efficiency, etc.Budgeting and Forecasting duties, including but not limited to: Standard Costing, develop and maintainDepartmental spend forecasting and analysisCost Savings identification and quantificationManufacturing Standard vs. Variance Analysis   Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance disciplineStrong business partnering skills with an ability to constructively challengeData driven mindset with high level of professional curiosityExhibits high level of accuracy and consistent attention to detailStrong follow-through and commitment to excellenceExperience in cost accounting and manufacturing environment (5+ years)Experience in working with complex ERP’s and identification/implementation of improvementsStrong desire to make things more efficient, faster, and better than you found themHigh level of proficiency in ExcelUnderstanding and history of operating within Financial Reporting, and Forecasting systems Physical environment/working conditions:Scoular is a Drug-Free Workplace (for more information See the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988 or your location’s Federal Workplace Poster)Scoular is an at-will employer.
