Petsource is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician specializing in freeze dryers and PLC systems to join our talented team. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of freeze dryers and PLC-controlled equipment used in our production processes. Your expertise in electro-mechanical systems, freeze dryer technology, and PLC programming will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.Perform regular maintenance and inspections on freeze dryers and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical issues in freeze dryers, PLC systems, and related control panels, including electrical, mechanical, and programming aspects.Collaborate with production teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.Troubleshoot and resolve PLC programming errors, implement modifications, and optimize control system performance.Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve malfunctions in freeze dryer and PLC systems, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, repairs, and parts inventory.Provide technical guidance and support to operators and other technicians, assisting in training and knowledge transfer related to freeze dryer and PLC systems.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in freeze dryer maintenance, PLC programming, and control systems to enhance job performance.About YouHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electro-mechanical technology or a related field is preferred.Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, with specific expertise in PLC systems and programming. Freeze dryer equipment maintenance preferred.Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, sensors, actuators, and control panels.Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text), ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic diagrams, and experience with PLC troubleshooting.Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to electro-mechanical equipment and maintenance.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical and PLC issues efficiently.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and effectively manage maintenance schedules.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical guidance.Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to address urgent maintenance needs.Physical environment/working conditions:This position will be required to work frequently indoors and outside.
