Part-Time Security Officer

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $21.12/hour

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for our client by actively monitoring the premises and conducting routine patrols. This role requires professionalism, strong observation skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring safety and security standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surveillance: Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned areas to identify suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.

  • Access Control: Verify identification, manage visitor access, and ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas.

  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, medical incidents, safety hazards, or security concerns and escalate when necessary.

  • Incident Reporting: Document and report security incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns clearly and accurately.

  • Patrolling: Conduct regular foot patrols of entrances, common areas, and surrounding property to maintain a visible security presence.

  • Customer Service: Provide assistance, directions, and information to employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a professional demeanor.

  • Safety Awareness: Identify potential safety hazards and report concerns to help maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow established security procedures.

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Reliable transportation and means of communication.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
