You will be part of the 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports the Operations Directorate (A3). The GFM Operations Plans Strategic Support position supports AFCENT/A3 by assisting with the management of the staffing process for HAF, ACC, Joint Staff and USCENTCOM GFM related tasking. This position provides administrative review of AFCENT Request for Forces (RFF) and REDEPORDs prior to submission to the Combined Force Component Commander and assists deployed units in crafting GFM products. Interfaces with USAF Commands, Higher Headquarters Air Force, and USCENTCOM to ensure USAFCENT equities are implemented into the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP). In this role you will: * Support all aspects of GFM operations planning for USAFCENT to include forecasting USAFCENT requirements and provides inputs to joint and combined manning requests. * Assist in coordinating development of CJCS-directed deliberate plans during steady-state operations. * Assist in effective deployment of response forces to meet emergent contingencies. * Provide guidance to the USAFCENT Functional Area Managers (FAM)and provides assistance to define requirements in the USAF deployment system. * Provide operational knowledge and use of Force Requirements Enhanced Database (FRED) and Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM) GFM tools sets. * Assist USAFCENT's rated FAM and assists USAFCENT deployed staffs. * Be responsible for QC and submission of USAFCENT database Change Requests (CRs). * Assist the set up and management of USAFCENT led GFM management meetings and provides inputs to HHQ GFM related conferences. * Train and provides continuity to newly assigned action officers to the Current Operations Division and provides GFM overview briefings to deployers. * Review current and future AF instructions and joint publications and makes recommendations for improvement as well as incorporation into FAM training programs. Qualifications To be successful in this position you will have: * An active DoD Secret clearance * HS Diploma / GED * One year experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications/e-mail systems or the equivalent. * Three years' experience in a staff organization working with GFM functions and databases. * Three years' experience with JCRM applications and JOPES and DCAPES databases. * tha ability to travel up to 10% Company Overview Serco Inc.
