Position Summary

The Big Bear General Manager is responsible for providing leadership to our team, expanding local lodging property partnerships, building a strong shop culture, achieving our KPIs of customer service, revenue and profit , and building our brand within the local community.

This General Manager position is a hybrid sales/operations role. You will be responsible for achieving revenue goals by growing the business through local sales with hotels, property management companies, concierges and more. In addition, the General Manager 's role is to help promote a productive environment, setting the team up for success to ensure we are delivering legendary service to our customers and partners. More specifically, you will be responsible for leading a team of Team Leaders and Ski Technicians in their roles of delivering ski and snowboard rental equipment to our guests. This includes scheduling future shifts, ensuring equipment is up to our brand standards, consistent coaching for the team and managing our P&L. This position is a salaried , seasonal position.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and will excel in a flexible, fast-paced work environment. Someone who has sales and management experience and who understands what it means to go above and beyond. Someone who views themself as a leader and who is passionate about providing every single one of our customers with exceptional service , every time.

Essential Duties:

  • Local sales to grow our current partners, close leads and build our brand within the local community

  • Pre-season shop set up

  • Weekly scheduling to hit demand and customer service goals

  • Hands on coaching with Team Leaders and Ski Technicians

  • Weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports and managers

  • Weekly resourcing reports

  • Maintaining quality of equipment

  • Equipment warranty and repair

  • Inventory management

  • Auto management

Desired Qualities:

  • Previous sales experience is a plus

  • Strong, confident, and professional communication skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to accept and deliver necessary feedback

  • Polished writing skills are a plus

  • Previous management/ leadership experience
