To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights
- Supports the property manager (PM) by repairing and maintaining the physical conditions (which meets building codes and those standards imposed by HUD and other housing regulatory agencies/commissions)
- Ensures that work orders are managed through the Yardi software system and that they are completed within 24 hours of submission
- Ensures that systems are in place or created to maximize resident and employee safety and health, and to preserve the physical assets
- Seeks opportunities to enhance communications and to build collaborative relationships with regional property supervisor, fellow colleagues, maintenance technicians and vendors

Pay Rate
$30.41-$33.00 per hour
Candidate Profile
- At least 3-5 years of direct experience in property management and related fields (construction and acquisition/renovation) required
- Proficiency in the use of computers and mobile devices, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Yardi financial reporting software
- Knowledge of HUD regulations, forms, inspection criteria/processes, and the low income housing tax credit program as they relate to physical assets and customer service
- Ability to travel by plane and automobile may be required
