Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area.
To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights
- Patrols assigned areas, searching for safety hazards, presence of unauthorized persons, and other potential sources of harm to persons or property
- Conducts preliminary investigation on complaints, incidents and accidents, and prepares written reports on activities and investigations.
- Provides directions and general information to patients, visitors and staff, including assisting patients in and out of vehicles and wheelchairs when necessary

Pay Rate
$16.20-$26.14 per hour
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 20 hours of training outlined by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, or certification as a Peace Officer in the State of Illinois
- Must have and maintain a valid State of Illinois driver’s license or must commit to securing a valid State of Illinois driver’s license within the first six months of employment
- 2 years of experience preferred
