To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.

Job Highlights
- This dual role provides both skilled front office and clinical support to designated specialties and serves as a liaison between the physician and patient to coordinate care in a medical office
- Depending on the location, you may greet and escort patients to the exam room and perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight
- Phlebotomy and injections may be required
- Full-time and part-time available, most require some Saturdays
- Medical offices located in Chicago, Evanston, Skokie, and surrounding suburbs

Pay Rate
Starting at $17.00 per hour; based on experience
Candidate Profile
- One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
- Must be able to perform needed clinical skills based on office specialty, including vital signs and other relevant skills
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accrediting body preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience working in a team as a positive contributor required
- Current CPR certification with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
